Wilderness First Aid $190

Moving Patients

Enjoy the outdoors? This class is for you! This is a two day class great for hike leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, beginners, and Boy Scout Leaders.


Students will get a two year certification from Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI), a nationally recognized certifying agency. Each student also receives a waterproof field guide and all materials needed for the class. 


This class includes more in-depth information then the Basic Wilderness First Aid class. In addition time will be spent indoors and out in all types of weather. Students will have to spend time on the ground assessing patients and moving them. 


There are no pre-requisites for this class. CPR is not included (and is not required for the class), but may be added on for an additional $25. We complete CPR on the first night after a dinner break. All students must be at least 14 years old.

Basic Wilderness First Aid $135

Basic Wilderness First Aid

Do you like day hikes? Lead hikes? Just starting out? Now is a great time to learn Basic Wilderness First Aid.


Day 1 is dedicated to "urban first aid". Students will receive a certification good for two years through the American Heart Association. A textbook and all training materials are provided. We cover CPR (adult and child), AED (automatic external defibrillator), and First Aid.


Day 2 is Basic Wilderness First Aid and certified through Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI). We use the information that we learned in day 1 and build on it to adapt it to a wildness setting. Everything is indoors (including the practice sessions).

*Please note that if you are with the BSA, this class does not meet the requirements for high adventure. You must take WFA. 


This class is held in Vienna, VA at the PATC Headquarters.

CPR and AED $50

This 3 hour class will cover Adult/Child CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation), AED (automatic external defibrillator) and choking. 


Students receive a certification good for 2 years through ECSI and a textbook. We provide all training materials for this class.

First Aid $50

This class covers all of the basics of First Aid in an urban setting. We cover many topics in 3 hours, including; medical emergencies, bleeding and bandaging, shock, epi-pens, and what to do at an emergency. 


Students receive a certification card good for 2 years through ECSI and a textbook. All training materials are provided for this class. 

CPR/AED/First Aid $75

This class takes approximately 6 hours and covers everything in our CPR and First Aid class.


Students receive a certification good for 2 years and a textbook.
