In this one hour workshop, kids (ages 10 and above) will learn the basics of using a compass. Each student will learn the parts of the compass and and how to follow a bearing. They will also learn how to pace count, helping them to get more accurate use of their compass. After they go through some practice bearings, the kids will complete a mini orienteering course. We provide compasses for students to use during the course.
